Duties
- Engage in outside sales activities by reaching out to prospective clients through telemarketing, community events, and networking to generate new business opportunities
- Conduct thorough client consultations to assess insurance needs and recommend suitable policies across health, life, property, and casualty lines
- Negotiate policy terms and coverage options with clients to ensure optimal solutions aligned with their goals
- Manage customer relationships using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems to track interactions, follow-ups, and policy details
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, explaining policy features clearly, and assisting with claims or policy changes
- Stay informed on insurance regulations, compliance standards such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), and industry best practices to ensure adherence
- Collaborate with marketing teams on outreach campaigns to promote insurance products and benefits effectively
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales environments with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities in both client interactions and team collaborations
- Familiarity with insurance products including health, life, property, casualty, and commercial lines; knowledge of insurance regulation is a plus
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM system management for client data organization
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Sales administration experience that includes analysis skills for evaluating client needs and tailoring solutions accordingly
- Knowledge of benefits administration processes and telemarketing techniques enhances outreach effectiveness
