Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of menu items efficiently, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and food prep stations safely and effectively.
- Maintain strict food safety protocols, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques.
- Assist with menu planning to ensure variety, freshness, and timely service during peak hours.
- Execute food production tasks like braising, poaching, grilling, and meal assembly with attention to detail.
- Support the dietary department by understanding dietary restrictions and accommodating special requests.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to meet health regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver prompt service in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality control.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly in fast-paced or high-volume kitchens.
- Proven skills in food preparation techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and knife handling.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes.
- Knowledge of operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Background in culinary roles within the food industry or fine dining settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of food handling regulations, catering experience, and serving skills are advantageous.
