Job Title: Front Desk Medical Receptionist Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Job Summary: We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance verification and eligibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional patient service. This role involves managing patient interactions, administrative tasks, and insurance processes to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities: The Front Desk Medical Receptionist will greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out of appointments. They will schedule patient appointments accurately and manage the clinic’s calendar. Answering phones promptly, addressing patient inquiries, and providing clear information about insurance coverage and billing are essential duties. The role includes verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, explaining patient financial responsibilities, and processing payments securely. The receptionist will also assist with maintaining accurate patient records in the EMR system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with healthcare providers, managing correspondence, handling administrative paperwork, and supporting clinic operations to enhance patient experience. The candidate must demonstrate strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical reception or administrative role, preferably within Rheumatology or a related specialty. Experience with NextGen EMR is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills are required to effectively interact with patients and staff. Critical thinking skills are essential for problem-solving and managing complex situations. A confident, assertive personality combined with a pleasant demeanor is important for creating a welcoming environment. Solid interpersonal skills are necessary for working collaboratively with team members. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to multitask efficiently are also required for success in this role.
Pay rate will be commensurate with experience; increases based on merit after 90 days. COVID-19 vaccine is not required. Therapy dog on premises. Lunch provided at least 3 days per week.
Full-time position with hours Monday thru Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with 30 min lunch and Friday, 8:00 to 2:00 pm.
