Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Commercial Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively.
Duties
- Operate various types of commercial vehicles: flatbeds and dump trucks.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while following planned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries as required by company policy and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered during transport.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road and at delivery sites.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling of materials.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial driving.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
