Ironworker Welder – Structural Steel

Pay: $28.00-$30.00/hr
Location: Baton Rouge, LA Area
A well-established structural steel contractor is hiring an experienced Ironworker Welder to support commercial construction projects involving structural steel fabrication and erection.
This role is approximately 85% shop work and 15% travel.
Responsibilities
- Fit and position structural steel members
- Perform structural steel stick welding
- Weld beams, columns, and steel framing components
- Assist with steel erection and alignment
- Work from lifts and elevated platforms as required
- Maintain quality and safety standards
Qualifications
- Structural steel welding experience required
- Stick welding experience required
- Experience with commercial steel construction preferred
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance
Compensation & Benefits
- $28.00-$30.00/hr
- $60/day per diem during travel assignments
- Hotel accommodations provided
- Overtime available
