In this role, you will provide support to students across the district, with a primary focus at one elementary school. Working approximately 2.5 days per week, you’ll manage a caseload of around 25 students. Your days will generally follow the elementary school schedule, from 8:35 AM to 3:38 PM.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) certification required
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with pediatric therapy techniques and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to varied student needs
Main Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups
- Document progress and maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with school and legal requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute occupational therapy insights for educational planning
