Job Summary
Artisan Bagels is hiring a part-time line cook to support our breakfast , lunch and dinner service. This role requires experience in prep, line cooking, and expediting. Applicants must be dependable, punctual, and capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Weekends is a must.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience as a line cook, with strong prep and expediting skills
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability between 5:30 AM 2:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday 4:00 pm till 8 pm weekends
- Weekend availability is required
- Familiarity with breakfast, sandwich, and lunch and dinner cooking on a flat-top grill
- Willingness to perform all kitchen responsibilities, including cleaning and dishwashing
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Must be ServeSafe certified or willing to become certified upon hire
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and handling regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary requirements.
- Help train new kitchen staff and provide guidance on best practices.
- 90-day training/probationary period before permanent hire.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or culinary roles.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
- A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Hourly pay rate based on experience.
