We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in providing exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, documenting changes, and reporting concerns promptly
- Support medication administration following proper protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident’s <PERSON> to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance
- Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care best practices
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous
- Experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and care planning
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively while maintaining resident safety standards
- Strong communication skills developed through social work or direct support roles in long-term care environments
