Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and relaxation massage tailored to individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for pain management and injury recovery
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment plans, progress notes, and client feedback
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and clinic protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive wellness plans when necessary
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements to uphold licensure and improve service quality
Qualifications
- Valid state license as a Massage Therapist with current certification in good standing
- Proven experience in patient service, with a focus on patient assessment and personalized care
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse clients
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and med spa environments is preferred
- Prior experience in medical or wellness setting impacts earning potential
