We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our vibrant hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor as they arrive, making them feel immediately welcomed.
- Manage reservations efficiently using restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring smooth seating arrangements.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times clearly to guests, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when handling reservations or inquiries.
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu or restaurant amenities.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times, supporting overall guest satisfaction.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and promptness, fostering positive guest relations.
- Keep the host/hostess station tidy, stocked, and ready to support busy service periods while adhering to hospitality standards.
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in managing reservations and guest flow.
- Experience in hotel or guest services can be advantageous, demonstrating a background in hospitality and guest relations.
- Knowledge of food service operations, serving procedures, and phone etiquette is highly desirable.
