Nucor Steel Jackson: The Payroll Coordinator I performs the position's essential payroll functions for approximately 300 team members while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Responsibilities include processing weekly payroll, production bonuses, garnishments, deductions, and adjustments; preparing, filing, and reconciling federal and state payroll tax returns and W-2s; completing month-, quarter-, and year-end activities; preparing payroll reports and reconciliations for Accounting; resolving payroll questions and discrepancies; and maintaining required records. The position also supports company-sponsored programs, including service awards, scholarships, and educational reimbursement. The role requires integrity, discretion, sound judgment, attention to detail, and consistent adherence to Nucor's safety, housekeeping, and confidentiality standards.
