Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Preparation Worker & dishwasher -cleaner to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards for quality and presentation and be responsible for the cleanliness of the restaurant from deep cleaning to washing dishes as well as bussing when needed . The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and experience in a kitchen environment, whether it be in restaurants, catering, or banquet settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by following proper food handling procedures.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of food stations during events or service times.
- Support the team in cooking tasks as needed, ensuring timely delivery of meals.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy service
- Responsible for deep cleaning the restaurant, bathrooms as well as tables and chairs inside and outside.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to assist with various tasks as needed, including bussing tables and cleaning kitchen equipment.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn more about food preparation techniques.
- Must speak English
- Spanish speaking is a plus
