Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to each client’s condition and goals.
- Educate clients on self-care practices, occupational health tips, and pain management strategies to support ongoing wellness.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and any relevant medical or physiological information using proper medical terminology.
- Ensure a safe, comfortable environment by adhering to hygiene standards and following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care when necessary, especially for clients with complex conditions or requiring specialized therapy.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and certifications related to medical massage therapy and spa services.
- During non patient care, adjust physical therapist with patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in patient service with excellent customer service skills that foster trust and comfort.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology necessary for accurate assessment and effective treatment.
- Skilled in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy aimed at pain management.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments to identify specific needs and develop customized treatment plans.
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide empathetic support throughout treatments.
- Certification or licensure as required by local regulations for massage therapists; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
