,Maintenance Mechanical Technician 1st shift 8am-4:30pm
The Maintenance Mechanical Technician provides essential maintenance support throughout the business, focusing on a) preventative maintenance and b) troubleshooting and repairing complex production line equipment as and when faults occur.
Primary Responsibilities: Maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot complex processing equipment; locate, identify, and prepare parts listed to complete repairs of high-speed packaging machinery and other manufacturing equipment. Repair and use of Fillers, cappers, conveyors, packers, tapers, heat exchangers and other liquid processing equipment, installing and troubleshooting relay logic, control components - photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensor, timers, solenoids servo drives, VFDsand encoders.
Design and create mechanical solutions that aid in improved function and efficiency of the line performance.
Experience and understanding of proper electrical equipment wiring, using single and 3 phase 480 components.
Read and interpret blueprints, process and instrumentation diagrams, flow diagrams, and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation, liaising with manufacturers if required. Layout, plan, measure, and execute tasks to support maintenance efforts.
Utilize power and hand tools properly and safely. Install new equipment as necessary. Clean tools, parts and equipment after line rebuilds/repairs/maintenance.
The ability to keep precise and accurate records and notes of changes, modification and process taken.
Provide technical expertise to train and support production and create an environment of continuous learning.
Salary: $18 - $35 per hour
