Location: 314 Fort Street, Niles, MI 49120
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary: $22-32 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (30-minute lunch) Friday: 7:00 AM -12:00PM (approx. 3 hours of overtime weekly)

Job Summary
We are looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician who is reliable, skilled in all aspects of automotive repair, and committed to delivering high-quality work. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on electrical diagnostics and internal engine diagnostics, with a proven track record in handling both routine maintenance and advanced repairs. We need a team player who will work well with other technicians and collaborate with our service advisor to ensure top-notch service for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of repairs and maintenance, including:
- Oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks
- Brake system repairs & replacements
- Suspension & steering diagnostics
- Wheel alignments
- Engine repairs and rebuilds
- Transmission diagnostics & replacements
- Electircal system diagnostics & repairs
- Conduct vehicle inspections & recommend repairs
- Use diagnostic tools (ProDemand, provided scan tools) to troubleshoot & resolve issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate clearly with customers and the service advisor regarding repairs
- Document services and repairs for customer records and warranty purposes
Qualifications and Skills
- 3-5 years of professional automotive repair experience
- ASE certifications preferred (we cover testing costs for motivated employees)
- Expertise in electrical systems, including complex wiring and diagnostics
- Proficiency in wheel alignments
- Experience with engine and transmission repairs/replacements
- Own tools (shop provides scan tools, diagnostic software, and many shop-shared tools)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality work
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods
