Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and materials handling. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse processes and the ability to operate various equipment safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory control processes to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and order picker.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are properly documented.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for tracking inventory.
- Execute picking and packing duties to fulfill customer orders accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing products within the warehouse.
- Participate in training sessions for new equipment or processes as required.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of warehouse distribution practices.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems such as FISHBOWL is a plus.
- Experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) as needed throughout the shift.
- Knowledge of packaging standards and procedures for safe shipping of products.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for effective materials handling.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
