The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the housekeeping department in the facility. This position ensures that the facility maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors while supporting infection prevention standards and regulatory compliance.
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff.
Ensure resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices are cleaned and sanitized according to facility standards.
Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility.
Train and orient new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and infection control protocols.
Develop and manage housekeeping schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
Work closely with nursing and administration to address environmental service needs.
Assist staff with cleaning duties as needed to maintain facility standards.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations related to environmental services.
Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns related to housekeeping services.
Maintain documentation related to cleaning schedules, inspections, and supply usage.
