We are seeking an experienced, high-caliber Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Nursing House Supervisor for our night shift operations. In this vital leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care across all hospital departments.
You will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and optimizing clinical nursing care based on established practices. Acting as the senior administrative representative on-site, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary professional teams to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care delivery while maintaining operational excellence.
Operational Leadership: Serve as the on-site administrative and clinical resource leader for all hospital departments during the night shift.
Clinical Oversight: Direct, coordinate, and evaluate patient care delivery utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
Resource Allocation: Manage staffing adjustments, bed utilization, and patient throughput to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and safety.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with physicians, clinical staff, and ancillary departments to resolve operational bottlenecks and support nursing teams.
Crisis Management: Respond to clinical emergencies, provide leadership during critical events, and handle escalations with high emotional stability and sound clinical judgment.
EducationExperience:
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing (BSN preferred).
Required: 2–3 years of strong clinical nursing experience within an acute care hospital setting.
Required: Exceptional communication, conflict-resolution, and collaborative leadership skills.
Required: Demonstrated physical stamina and emotional resilience necessary to lead a fast-paced night shift environment.
LicensureCertifications:
Required: Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Illinois.
Required: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
Required: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross).
