We are expanding our team for our state-of-the-art 6000 sq ft facility in Glassell Park. We are the only privately-owned facility in Los Angeles and offer 7-day a-week critical care & emergency services as well as the following specialties:
- Internal medicine

- Rehabilitation and Integrative Medicine
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine Department team. The schedule for this position would Wednesday through Saturday. As an integral part of our Internal Medicine team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with anesthetic procedures, providing compassionate care to our patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our Internal Medicine service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in the internal medicine department with examinations, anesthetic procedures, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, and place IV catheters.
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Perform diagnostic imaging, such as radiographs and ultrasounds, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate and support pet owners regarding their pet's condition, treatment options, and care instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and sanitized.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary internal medicine.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work Wednesday - Saturday.
- Registered Veterinary Techician (RVT) Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, with a focus on internal medicine highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficiency in diagnostic imaging, laboratory procedures, and nursing care techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their owners.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
