Security Officer (Unarmed) – Sasol
Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the physical safety of all employees, visitors, contractors, and client facilities, as well as protecting property and assets. Guards conduct patrols, monitor access control points, and ensure protection against intruders, theft, vandalism, and other security threats. This position may require independent decision-making and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a professional Unarmed Security Guard to help maintain the security standards established by Weiser Security. The primary objective of this role is to create and maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and client property.
Prior Military and Law Enforcement experience is strongly encouraged to apply. We are a performance-driven security company that values discipline, accountability, and professionalism. We promote from within and provide continuous training—both physical and procedural—as part of employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to and manage security or safety incidents involving personnel, property, or facilities
- Notify appropriate contacts such as SOC, Team Leader, or Project Management during incidents
- Perform access control using computers, radios, tablets, and mobile systems
- Conduct routine patrols and report suspicious activity
- Maintain accurate digital reports and logs
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and management
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide customer service
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to complete digital reports and radio check-ins
- Ability to work independently when required
- Strong communication and computer skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Unarmed Security Guard License (or ability to obtain)
- Valid TWIC Card (Required)
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean criminal background
- Clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
SCHEDULE & PAY
- Full-Time
- 7 Days On / 7 Days Off / 12 Hour Shifts
- $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Security or Corrections: 1 year
- Law Enforcement: 1 year
- Military Service: 3 years
- Customer Service: 1 year
