Role Overview
As an IT Support Specialist, you’ll be the go-to person for technical assistance across the company. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, support end-users, and help maintain our IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has a knack for clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to internal users via email, chat, phone, and in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Set up and configure laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes from a technical standpoint.
- Document issues and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and escalations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and common office software.
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Jira, Freshservice).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- [Optional] Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft MCP are a plus.
Job Details
- Full time: 30 to 40 hours a week
- Location: In Person/Will need to travel to client sites as needed.
