Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for adults of various ages.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote community bonding, learning, and fun.
- Ensure safety by adhering to adult development best practices, behavior management techniques, and mandated reporting laws when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene to support overall well-being.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
- Apply first aid or CPR in emergencies when required, ensuring the safety of all adults under your care.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities and adults across various age groups.
- Demonstrated teaching experience with adults.
- Knowledge of adult development principles, behavior management strategies, and activity planning for adults.
- Valid certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing training preferred.
- Strong communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Prior experience in daycare settings, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs is highly desirable.
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and ensure adult safety at all times.
- Passion for caregiving with a positive attitude and patience to support adult's growth in a nurturing environment.
