Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with their food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments.
- Prepare and package food items according to safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of workspaces.
- Deliver food orders swiftly from the kitchen to tables or designated pickup areas, ensuring presentation quality.
- Upsell menu items by recommending specials or add-ons to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, POS stations, and food prep areas, following sanitation guidelines.
- Manage cash register operations accurately during shifts, balancing cash drawers at the end of each shift.
- Assist in food safety management by adhering to proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed, contributing to efficient service delivery.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and courteously.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service environments, including quick service or fast-food restaurants.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently.
- Strong food handling knowledge and commitment to food safety standards.
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change accurately, and processing transactions.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with guests and team members alike.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently is a plus.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a clean workspace at all times.
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience is highly desirable for success in this role.
