Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing corporate AV integration company. This role is heavily project-accounting focused and requires strong organizational skills, financial accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across job costing, payroll administration, vendor management, and cash flow planning.
The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, integration, project-based service industries, or similar operational accounting environments where revenue, expenses, and profitability are tracked by project.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations
- Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger activity, AP/AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Enter and maintain accurate accounting data across multiple active projects
- Reconcile accounts, credit cards, vendor statements, and expense reports
- Process customer invoices and monitor collections
- Track project costs, labor allocations, and profitability by job/project
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for leadership
- Maintain organized financial records and support external CPA/audit requests
- Month-End/ Year-End compliance including filing sales tax returns and 1099’s
Project-Based Accounting
- Monitor project budgets, committed costs, change orders, and billing schedules
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project financial tracking
- Analyze job costing and identify variances or cost overruns
- Support WIP (Work in Progress) reporting and revenue recognition as applicable
Payroll, Benefits & HR Financial Administration
- Manage payroll processing and payroll reporting
- Coordinate employee benefits administration including health insurance and retirement plans
- Serve as primary liaison for payroll providers, insurance brokers, and 401(k) administrators
- Ensure payroll tax compliance, benefit and 401(k) deductions are accurate
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding financial documentation
- Workers Compensation Management
Cash Flow & Vendor Management
- Monitor company cash position and assist leadership with cash flow planning
- Manage vendor payments and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Help optimize payment timing and collections processes
- Support financial decision-making with operational insight
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in:
- AV integration
- Construction
- Technology integration
- Project-based service industries
- Strong understanding of project accounting and job costing
- Experience managing payroll, employee benefits, and 401(k) administration
- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with high attention to details
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay: $75,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
