Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and dental implants.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose dental conditions using medical and dental terminology, and develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patient needs.
- Utilize advanced dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for accurate medical documentation, treatment planning, and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment during all procedures.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and promote oral health education.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced setting.
Skills
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures and specialties such as pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and implantology.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment options and oral health practices.
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other complex procedures.
- Deep understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare diagnosis processes for accurate documentation and treatment planning.
- Ability to work efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups to maximize productivity while maintaining high-quality care.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and anatomy relevant to dental diagnosis.
