Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to customers, manage transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base. Age requirement (atleast 21)
Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately process sales transactions
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries or concerns
- Handle cash, credit, and debit payments with precision and integrity
- Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers
- Conduct product demos when applicable to enhance customer engagement
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Support in conducting product demos to increase sales opportunities
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership roles
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele effectively
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are essential
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations are necessary
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations will be beneficial
