Registered Nurse (RN or RNFA) – Dermatology & Surgery Center

We are a well-established dermatology practice and surgery center seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our collaborative clinical team.

The selected candidate will work closely with our Medical Director and Nurse Manager to help lead our surgical team while receiving mentorship and hands-on training in dermatology.

Position Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will:
- Help lead daily clinical operations within the surgery center under the direction of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director
- Coordinate patient care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative experience
- Assist providers during medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic procedures
- Coordinate and manage the daily surgical schedule and patient flow
- Document clinical encounters and assist with medical scribing using electronic medical record (EMR)
- Educate patients regarding procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
- Train, mentor, and support clinical staff
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centered clinical environment
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Assist the Nurse Manager with compliance related to federal, state, and local regulations
- Lead OSHA and Emergency Preparedness programs
- RNFA candidates will assist with suturing, minor surgical excisions, and Mohs surgery
Qualifications
Required
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license in good standing
- Minimum of two (2) years of dermatology or surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS or ACLS certification
- Associate degree in Nursing or higher
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and EMR documentation skills
- Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Chevy Chase, MD
Additional Requirement for RNFA
- Current RNFA certification
- ACLS certification
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
