Job Overview:
Bayou Wellness is a well-established, highly regarded private counseling practice in Pensacola, Florida. We are seeking exceptional licensed therapists (LMHCs, LCSWs, and LMFTs) to join our team. Applicants must hold an active Florida license. We are not currently hiring registered interns.
As part of our team, you'll provide therapy in a beautiful, spacious, and welcoming private practice setting while maintaining full control over your schedule and caseload. You'll benefit from an established referral network to help you build and sustain a thriving caseload, while also enjoying the support and collaboration of an exceptional team of clinicians.
We provide insurance credentialing and comprehensive training and ongoing support with insurance processes, including verifying benefits, submitting electronic claims, and navigating claim denials.
Clinical Duties:
- Provide individual, family, couples, adolescent, and/or child therapy based on your areas of competence and preferred population
- Conduct psychosocial assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each client's needs
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated
Administrative Duties:
- Contact and schedule new client referrals
- Verify clients' insurance benefits and communicate coverage information as needed
- Submit electronic insurance claims and follow up on claim denials when necessary
- Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation
- Collaborate with referral sources and other healthcare providers, as clinically appropriate, to coordinate client care
- Manage your caseload, schedule, and client communication while maintaining continuity of care
Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Florida licensure as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT
- Commitment to professionalism, integrity, accountability, and high-quality client care
- Previous experience providing psychotherapy in a mental health setting
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation
- Strong understanding of counseling theories, evidence-based interventions, and DSM-5 diagnostic principles
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and across the lifespan
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Minimum one-year commitment (We're seeking clinicians who are looking to build a long-term home with our practice)
- Preferred: Certification or specialized training in CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR, EFT, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, Gottman Therapy, or other evidence-based treatment modalities
