People’s Coffee is growing, and we are looking for passionate Full-Time Baristas to join our teams at our Durham and Pittsboro locations!
We are searching for experienced coffee professionals who are excited about creating exceptional beverages, connecting with guests, and being part of a locally owned café that brings people together every day.

What You'll Do
- Craft high-quality espresso beverages, coffee drinks, teas, and specialty drinks with consistency and care.
- Use manual espresso techniques, including proper espresso preparation, milk steaming, and drink presentation.
- Create memorable guest experiences through friendly, knowledgeable service.
- Provide recommendations and confidently answer guest questions about our menu.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting café environment.
- Work closely with your teammates to keep café operations running smoothly.
- Support opening, closing, prep, and daily café responsibilities.
- Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to every shift.
- Help maintain the quality standards and welcoming atmosphere that make People’s Coffee special.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced barista who already has strong coffee knowledge and hands-on café experience. This is not an entry-level position — successful candidates should be confident working independently, preparing quality beverages, and delivering excellent service from day one.
- Previous professional barista experience is required.
- Strong experience preparing espresso beverages using manual espresso techniques.
- Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, drink presentation, and beverage consistency.
- Ability to maintain quality and efficiency during busy café service.
- Passion for coffee, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, organized, and able to take ownership of daily responsibilities.
- Willingness to support all areas of café operations, including cross-training as needed.
- Weekend availability required.

Café Hours:
- Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
