We are growing and looking for a skilled welder/fabricator to join us in building high-quality refractory steel forms and assemblies.
Job Description
We’re seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator with strong technical skills and a solid work ethic. You’ll fabricate steel forms and assemblies to tight tolerances, working from engineering drawings or templates. You’ll be part of a small, capable team that values innovation, precision, and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate steel molds, forms, and frames for castable refractory products
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and templates
- Perform MIG and occasional stick welding with strong weld quality on structural 1/4\"+ A36 steel, rebar, and anchors.
- Operate cutting, grinding, and forming tools (acetylene torch, band saw, hand grinders, rolling machines, etc.)
- Conduct quality checks for welds and final fit
- Assist with custom fabrication, jig creation, and shop improvements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- 2+ years of welding/fabrication experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
- Proficient with MIG welding; stick welding a plus
- Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
- Must be able to lift 40+ lbs, stand for long periods, and perform physical labor in a shop environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license
