Job Description
This role will provide exceptional service to our clients by partnering with a successful team of value driven and innovative employees who ensure our orders are pulled, packaged, converted, shipped, loaded and received accurately and damage free.
How will you do it?
- Transport goods and supplies into and around the warehouse using the reach truck to ensure on time delivery of goods and supplies.
- Deliver general warehouse tasks using various material handling equipment to ensure all goods and supplies are stored and recorded with agreed procedures.
- Perform basic inventory control tasks and checks on quantities, quality, and availability against records following established inventory control procedures.
- Follow mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct.
- Adhere to the organization's Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) policies, procedures and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to oneself and others in the workplace.
- Utilize and understand the warehouse operating systems to receive, print orders and locate inventory on the floor.
- Develop and maintain excellent skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching.
- Perform additional duties as required.
What do you need?
- Must be able to work starting at 11am. 8 hour shifts
- 2+ years working in a warehouse environment - distribution warehousing experience preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience operating a variety of material handling equipment (lifting platforms, forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, etc.) required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Excellent organizational, time management and customer relations skills are required.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail required.
- Ability to be proficient with computerized warehouse system.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
