CDL-A Yard Switcher (Floater) Needed – Tanner, AL!
Universal Logistics is seeking a Class A Yard Switcher (Floater) to support multiple shifts at our Tanner, AL location. This position offers steady work, consistent scheduling, and the flexibility to work across shifts as needed.

Pay:
Shift Details:
- Sunday through Thursday 3am-11:30am. This will be their regular schedule unless they need to cover 3rd or 1st shift if that driver is out.
- Monday through Thursday 4pm-12:30am & Friday 2pm-10:30pm. This will be their regular schedule unless needed to cover 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate yard trucks to move trailers within the yard
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ensure trailers are positioned correctly for loading/unloading
- Maintain communication with dispatch and yard personnel
- Follow all safety procedures and DOT regulations
- Keep equipment clean and report maintenance issues
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL (AL)
- Must be able to operate offsite (fueling, etc.)
- Minimum 3 months yard switching experience OR 6 months tractor-trailer experience
- No DUI/OWI in last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in last 3 years
- No more than 2 preventable accidents in last 3 years
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Must pass background check
