We are currently seeking an experienced Consumer Loan Officer / Processor for a credit union located in Los Angeles, CA!
Type: Full-time temporary
Pay: $26-28/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Interview, process, and disburse consumer loan requests for auto, personal loans, credit cards, and solar.
- Audits completed loan files to ensure accuracy and adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Processes DMV paperwork.
- Verify debts not listed on applications and calculate estimated monthly payments.
- Promote and cross-sell loan protection products such as MBI, GAP, Depreciation Protection, and Debt Protection.
- Generate and finalize loan documents.
- Disburse loans.
- Explain loan denials and discuss alternative solutions with members.
- Conduct outreach to members to generate business and increase loan pipeline.
Requirements:
- 2 years of previous credit union or banking experience as a consumer loan processor or consumer loan officer including originating and processing personal loans, auto loans, and credit cards.
- DMV paperwork processing experience required.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
