Join our dynamic team as a Short Term Rental Homes Maintenance Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring our properties are safe, functional, and welcoming for every guest. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on residential rental properties, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and building interior components.
- Troubleshoot and repair facilities equipment using schematics, hand tools, electrical equipment, and programmable logic controllers to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct maintenance painting, carpentry repairs, plumbing system maintenance and repair, and other building interior upkeep tasks to uphold property standards.
- Utilize electrical experience and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues with electrical equipment and systems; repair or replace as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schematics documentation and work logs for facilities maintenance operations.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex repairs involving welding or specialized mechanical work.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to tenant requests or issues related to property maintenance.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities equipment maintenance within residential or short-term rental environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on expertise in plumbing, electrical work, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, electrical equipment repair, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and the use of hand tools and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), including troubleshooting HVAC systems and plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of residential painting, carpentry, welding techniques, and general facilities maintenance practices.
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform electrical troubleshooting confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coordinate tasks effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer interaction.
