Duties
- Diagnose and repair generator systems, diesel engines, and associated electrical components using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance on medium-heavy duty vehicle platforms, including inspections, lube services, various system calibrations
- Must be willing to travel to maintain customer's needs throughout our AOR for various manufactures supported with an open mind to meet demands as necessary
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs efficiently and accurately
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues effectively
- Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs, service timelines, and maintenance recommendations
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed to ensure transparency and accountability skills
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with heavy machinery or generators
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, automotive repair, and equipment repair processes
- Proficiency in reading schematics and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes
- Hands-on experience with generator repair, electrical systems, welding, soldering, and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with Caterpillar/Cummins/Detroit/FPT/Generac/John Deere/MTU or similar heavy equipment brands is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various outdoor or industrial environments
- Knowledge of sales techniques is advantageous for recommending maintenance services or upgrades
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to repairs and diagnostics
- EGSA TIER 2/CMRT/ NFPA 110 Training Preferred
- Factory Training Provided both in House and by Manufacture Specific
