Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive welding courses that incorporate classroom instruction and practical hands-on training aligned with industry standards.
- Design and develop engaging curricula covering welding techniques and procedures.
- Utilize educational technologies such as computers and online instruction platforms to enhance learning experiences.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols including OSHA standards during all classroom and lab activities.
- Assess student progress through evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and maintain detailed records of performance.
- Foster an inclusive environment by working effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying skill levels.
- Experience
- Proven experience in welding.
- Prior classroom training experience or higher education teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content for technical skills instruction and adult education programs.
- Familiarity with working with post-secondary students or high school learners in technical trades is preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, maintenance & repair operations (MRO), and automotive diagnostics enhances instructional effectiveness.
- Experience working with educational technologies such as computers for course design and online instruction platforms like Blackboard is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety standards including OSHA regulations related to industrial trades and classroom environments.
