Currently Hiring Full-Time Preschool Teacher - 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
McCabe Preschool is seeking to hire an energetic, creative, and loving preschool teacher. We are looking for an experienced teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and psychological growth of the children in our preschool. Preferred hours of 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
The ideal candidate should:
- Have a passion for creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment that is stimulating and conducive to learning.
- Have patience, flexibility, and a love for children.
- Maintain a commitment to professionalism.
- Have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a team and develop creative programming suitable for preschool children.
Responsibilities
- Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children ages three to five years old.
- Active engagement with students and participation in classroom activities.
- Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills.
- Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children.
- Provide clear and consistent expectations for the children’s behavior.
- Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
- Assess children’s performance/progress toward kindergarten readiness and report to parents.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
- Collaborate with other colleagues.
- Assists in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines are necessary.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Proven experience as a childcare/preschool teacher
- Degree in Early Childhood Education
- Certificate in first aid and CPR – must possess within 90 days of hire
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Working experience in a preschool setting
- Candidates must meet all NDFPS requirements and pass the appropriate background check.
