ROBOTIC WELDING TECHNICIAN - Automotive Parts Manufacturing
Hours: Mon – Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM + daily overtime if workloads require
Status: Fulltime / Hourly / Non-Exempt
Purpose: Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and operation of robotic welding equipment.
Requirements
- 3+ years robotic welding experience - preferably in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of automation equipment
- Detailed understanding of welding processes
- Mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Able to interpret blueprints, drawings and production specifications
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with large emphasis on accuracy
- Has good time management skills
- Self-starter, with a strong work ethic, able to work with minimal supervision
- Can work effectively with cross-functional departments as needed
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills.
- Can work in a fast paced, changing environment that may include long hours and tight deadlines
- Able to work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements
- Can pull, push, carry, lift and move materials/items/equipment weighing up to 50lbs throughout the work shift

Job Duties
- Tends to welding and soldering
- Troubleshoots and repairs parts
- Sets up future jobs
- Aligns, fits and assembles component parts using hand tools
- Inspects and tests completed product to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Performs preventive / corrective maintenance
- Adheres to all safety requirements and protocols
- Organizes and keeps work area clean.
- Performs other warehouse/machine shop/fabrication duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate or trade school certificate in welding
- Automotive/manufacturing experience required
- 3+ years fabrication experience strongly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
