About Us
We are a growing construction company specializing in federal, commercial, and government contracting projects across the United States. We are seeking an experienced Federal Construction Estimator to join our team remotely and help identify, price, and win government construction opportunities.
Position Summary
The Federal Construction Estimator will be responsible for reviewing solicitation packages, preparing accurate cost estimates, coordinating subcontractor pricing, and supporting proposal development for federal construction projects. The ideal candidate has experience with federal procurement processes and understands the requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review federal solicitations, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction and renovation projects.
- Perform quantity takeoffs.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Identify project risks and pricing considerations.
- Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership during preconstruction.
QualificationsRequired:
- 3+ years of construction estimating experience.
- Experience estimating federal government construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong understanding of CSI divisions and construction methods.
- Experience with takeoff and estimating software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with SAM.gov opportunities.
- Knowledge of Davis-Bacon wage requirements.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
