What You’ll Be Doing
- Guide homebuyers through a smooth, professional mortgage lending experience from application through closing
- Review loan files and underwriting information to ensure accuracy and lending integrity
- Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with realtors, builders, community leaders, and other lending partners
- Build and grow a strong mortgage loan referral network
- Represent the bank at community events, parades, expos, and other local activities
- Stay current on mortgage lending programs, including USDA, VA, and construction loans
- Partner with the Mortgage Processing Team to improve loan accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Manage and monitor your loan portfolio while following up thoughtfully with borrowers and referral partners
- Deliver knowledgeable, responsive customer service throughout the mortgage process
- Maintain compliance, accuracy, and attention to detail in all lending activities
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of lending experience, preferably in mortgage, consumer lending, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience developing and maintaining referral networks
- Strong knowledge of lending and mortgage processes
- Underwriting experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer-focused approach with a relationship-building mindset
- Ability to manage multiple loan files and priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Experience in administrative or customer service work is a plus
