The Woodruff Family YMCA, is seeking a dedicated Child Watch Attendant to supervise children in our Child Watch Program. This role supports the Y’s mission of fostering youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As a Child Watch Attendant, you will create a welcoming, safe, and positive environment for children, while adhering to YMCA values and safety guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:

Supervising and ensuring the safety of children at all times.

Maintaining a clean and organized program area.

Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.

Enforcing YMCA policies and procedures, including safety and child abuse prevention.

Attending required training sessions and meetings.
Experience: Prior experience working with children preferred.-
Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Certifications: CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications required (can be completed upon hire).

Training: Must complete YMCA onboarding and safety training within the first 30 days of employment.

Physical Demands: Ability to frequently lift 25 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs., and work in moderate to high noise levels.
