We are looking for a Part-Time Kennel Assistant (Must be at least 18 years or older) to give daily care to several of our dogs and cats and to keep the kennel clean and orderly. The ideal candidate will maintain the kennel at a high standard while ensuring all animals are properly fed and exercised. A Kennel Assistant is responsible for walking dogs daily, as well as cleaning cages, mopping floors, disposing of waste, assisting customers and maintaining accurate records. This position requires reliable transportation and a love of animals. Must be available to work weekends and some holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Handle and clean soiled kennel materials.
- Work in a kennel area with pets and their caretakers.
- Clean up animal waste.
- Be able to lift heavy items.
