Device Repair & Customer Service Technician
PhoneAxiom Express Device Repair is hiring a dependable, customer-focused team member for a full-time position at our Lynchburg store. This combined role includes hands-on device repair and front-counter customer service, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys both technology and working with people.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome customers, listen to their concerns, and check devices in for service
- Diagnose hardware and software issues on phones, tablets, computers, and other consumer electronics
- Complete common repairs, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, and related components
- Test devices before and after repair to ensure quality, functionality, and reliability
- Clearly explain repair options, pricing, and expected turnaround times
- Keep customers informed about the status of their repairs in person, by phone, and through messages
- Assist with accessory sales, device sales, and protection options
- Create accurate repair tickets and maintain organized customer notes, parts usage, and inventory records
- Keep the front counter and repair workspace clean, organized, and professional
- Work with the team to meet quality, turnaround-time, sales, and customer-satisfaction goals

- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Comfort working with small components, tools, and electronic devices
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Dependability and the ability to manage multiple customers and repairs in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new devices, repair techniques, and software
- Previous device-repair, electronics, retail, sales, or customer-service experience is preferred
