Position Summary
Transit Freight System is seeking dependable and hardworking Loader / Unloader team members to support our daily freight handling operations. In this role, you will be responsible for safely loading, unloading, sorting, and moving shipments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the distribution process. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy physical work in a fast-paced environment. No previous experience is required paid training is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight from trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Move, sort, and organize shipments according to company procedures.
- Inspect freight for visible damage and report any discrepancies.
- Verify shipment labels and assist with accurate freight staging.
- Secure loads to ensure safe transportation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as authorized.
- Assist with inventory movement and warehouse organization.
- Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily productivity goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous warehouse or freight handling experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and follow established procedures.

Pay: $21.90 - $22.80 per hour
