The AudioVisual (AV) Technician will report directly to the Vice President of Operations with USIS AudioVisual Systems. Hours of Operation are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, with a 30 minute hour lunch break and overtime, as required. Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to accept supervision, direction, and be held accountable for all assignments from Project Managers and Field Engineers, including deliveries, audio visual system installation, and testing
- Perform troubleshooting, problem solving, and complete Project Engineer’s field punch lists to client acceptance of audio visual components and integrated systems
- Coordinate technical, architectural, and construction requirements with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Sales, and Vice President of Operations
- Provide routine status reports to Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Perform field service calls as required for warranty support of completed projects
- Fabricate and prepare/stage systems for Quality Control (QC) Testing (as applicable)
- Create, modify, & test audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) programs (as applicable)
- Test remote control system programs (as applicable)
- When required, travel outside metro NY area for job responsibilities. USIS AudioVisual Systems to pay for transportation, hotel, and per diem costs incurred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to pass drug and background screenings
- Ability to lift up 75 lbs. with or without assistance
Desired Skills:
- Ability to comprehend signal flow of audio visual system schematics
- Familiarity with multi-meters and other electronic test meters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and collaborative team player
- Ability to follow process and procedure
- Computer proficiency with experience in Microsoft Office programs
- AudioVisual industry certification desired, but not required (InfoComm International CTS or CTS-I)

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
