Technology Organization
Northern, NJ
Monday – Friday | Onsite
Salary: $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience
Position Overview
A growing technology organization is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused Contracts Specialist to join its Contracts and Pricing team. This position serves as a key liaison between clients and internal departments, managing the contract lifecycle from negotiation through execution while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
The ideal candidate is a polished communicator who is comfortable working directly with clients, reviewing and revising contract language, coordinating Requests for Proposal (RFPs), analyzing pricing, and maintaining contract data within internal systems. This is not an outbound sales role; however, success requires strong relationship-building and consultative communication skills to move agreements efficiently through the contracting process.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of contracts, operations, finance, and client relations in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with prospective and existing clients to negotiate, finalize, and execute service agreements.
- Review, revise, and redline contracts using approved templates while collaborating with internal legal resources on contract language and non-standard terms.
- Analyze incoming agreements to identify potential risks, inconsistencies, and business considerations, recommending appropriate revisions when necessary.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Proposal (RFPs) utilizing established templates, while maintaining and enhancing proposal libraries and response documentation.
- Research market pricing and hourly rates to support competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
- Establish client pricing and configure new client accounts within proprietary business systems.
- Accurately document contract terms, amendments, pricing, and requirements within internal software to ensure complete and accurate records.
- Maintain organized contract files and documentation using Microsoft Office applications and internal systems.
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Account Management teams to facilitate seamless contract execution and client onboarding.
- Calculate pricing, margins, and other financial metrics related to contracts and service agreements.
- Identify opportunities to improve contracting, pricing, and proposal processes through continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence interacting directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Professional, customer-focused communication style with strong relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand contractual language while identifying potential issues and risks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word (including Track Changes and Redlining), Microsoft Excel, Gmail or comparable email platforms, and the ability to quickly learn proprietary software.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate pricing, rates, and profit margins.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multiple departments.
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reviewing and redlining contracts in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Experience preparing or coordinating Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and maintaining proposal templates.
- Background in healthcare staffing, professional services, or another contract-intensive industry.
- Experience conducting pricing, compensation, or market research.
- Experience establishing client accounts, pricing structures, or contract data within CRM or proprietary business systems.
