We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, carpet extraction, and trash removal.
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of common areas, including hallways, community rooms, offices, restrooms, and entryways.
- Clean and prepare resident apartments during unit turnovers to ensure move-in readiness.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when supplies need replentishment.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or property damage to management promptly.
- Follow established safety procedures and infection-control practices.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous janitorial, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently.
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
