The Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance, safety, and operation of the facility's physical plant, equipment, and grounds. This position ensures compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations, life safety codes, and facility policies while maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Oversee daily maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs.
Direct housekeeping and laundry services
Understand and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, security, and emergency systems.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and correct safety hazards.
Coordinate vendors, contractors, and service providers with corporate approval.
Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation.
Assist with emergency preparedness activities and facility drills.
Ensure building and grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained.
Participate in Department of Health surveys and inspections.
Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience; healthcare or assisted living experience preferred.
Knowledge of building systems and preventive maintenance practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform maintenance duties throughout the facility.
Availability to respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
