Ophthalmology practice seeks a technician/medical assistant for a full-time position M-F 8am-5pm. Previous experience in an ophthalmology or optometry setting is a plus, but we will consider any bright, responsible, motivated candidate.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patients’ chief complaint and medical history
- Measure visual acuities and neutralize glasses
- Instill eyedrops, measure intraocular pressures, review consents for procedures
- Accurately input information into the electronic medical record
- Run diagnostic tests including visual fields, IOL measurements, OCT, etc.
Qualifications
- Friendly and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working with computers
- Previous experience in medical setting preferred
- Responsible, dependable, able to multitask, takes initiative to help improve the functioning of the office
- Team player
