About the Role
We are seeking a Gen AI Product Owner / Product Manager to support a growing Customer Operations AI initiative. This role will own Gen AI use cases from intake and prioritization through development, governance, delivery, and adoption.
- Own and prioritize the Gen AI use-case backlog based on business value, feasibility, readiness, and risk.
- Translate business needs into problem statements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable success criteria.
- Partner with business SMEs and IT teams to validate requirements and manage expectations.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Track backlog progress, velocity, sprint/release status, tasks, and hours using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Serve as the bridge between Customer Operations stakeholders and technical teams.
- Support AI governance, responsible-AI practices, evaluation criteria, guardrails, privacy, cybersecurity, and human-in-the-loop requirements.
- Drive change management, training, user adoption, feedback, and continuous improvement.
- Research Gen AI trends and enterprise use cases to inform the product roadmap.
- Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders.
- Drive measurable business outcomes from AI-enabled solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager leading Agile product development.
- Experience with Generative AI, conversational AI, or intelligent automation products.
- Understanding of AI evaluation, governance, and responsible-AI concepts.
- Experience managing product backlogs, prioritization, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies and Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex organization.
- Experience creating presentations and documentation for leadership or regulatory audiences.
- Experience managing employees, contractors, or project teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with responsible-AI or AI governance frameworks.
- Vendor management experience.
- SAFe, Product Owner, Scrum, or related certification.
